Minimalist Work Boots- OeTZI 3300 – Out of the Box Review
Its easy to find minimalist “Barefoot” shoes to run in, but its a little bit harder to find Boots that can stand up to Winter, Rain, Blood, and Dangerous enviroments. As a paramedic my search for the perfect field barefoot boot led me to OeTZI. I will let them describe their product via the Tag that came attached to the boots
“OetZi3300 takes you on a journey back in time to a prehistoric man called “Oetzi” who has been carbon dated to 3300 B.C. His mummified body, unveiled from his frozen state by “global warming,” was wearing nothing more than the basic essentials he needed for survival- gear for protection and warmth, as well as a unique pair of shoes.
Inspired by the simple yet functional design of Oetzi’s shoes, our need to be environmentally responsible and promote the art of well being. OeTZI3000 is remastering the basic essentials from the past in a fresh and relevant way. Our gear, from footwear to apparel, is created with the same understated complexities that run through Oetzi’s DNA.”
The story and description continue on their informational card, but I will let you buy a pair to finish reading the story.
My out of the box perspective… They look like a pair of work boots with out the Hard Rubber soles or the Steel toe. They feel like a pair of work boots. They have thin sole making them “barefoot” friendly. It came with a cool bag to carry them around in. They are can be polished.
My first impression when I put them on, Wow US size 12 for me when I normally wear a 10.5 running shoe. They fit great and lots of room in the toe box for my toes to spread out. Warm… That might be an issue in the summer, but the neopreme like sock liner will provide plenty of winter time protection. Hence the reason I purchased them. They feel okay when I walk around the hard wood floors with them.
Time will tell. For now the testing will be left for the field. Want more info check out their website http://shop.oetzi3300.com/

Hi Brandon, great to see another Paramedic looking for “barefoot” friendly work boots. I will keep a keen eye out for further updates on these, especially comfort during the warmer months.
